RDN

Ross Shumway, RDN, is a highly experienced dietitian with a passion for patients through evidence-based nutrition strategies.

Ross holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Chapman University and is currently pursuing a master’s in nutrition sciences at Eastern Illinois University where he continues to expand his expertise in nutrition.

Previously, Ross was the Director of Football Performance Nutrition at UCLA, where he built the university’s first football nutrition program. His expertise spans collegiate and professional football, having worked with the Los Angeles Chargers, UCLA Athletics, and the Los Angeles Rams in performance nutrition roles. He also has experience serving as a Performance Dietitian for the US Air Force, providing nutrition care and education to servicemen and women, and doing research on the impact of one’s food intake on G-force tolerance and eye health.

Currently he enjoys assisting patients at Nutrition as Therapy in achieving body composition change goals and helping them finally “crack the code” of nutrition to help clients understand the benefits of a nutritious eating pattern.

In his spare time, he loves to be outdoors with his wife and American Bulldog, hiking the White Tanks mountain range. His favorite plant-based meal is the “Buddha Bowl”.
